Born and raised in New York City, Future began his pursuit of street dance style known as Electric Boogie at the age of ten in his neighborhood and school gatherings. He trained under pioneers such as Ol’ School Maurice, Fury, Louie New-wave and Lil Shake. At the age of sixteen he was introduced to the club styles of House after going to clubs in Manhattan. Having mastered the Hip-hop and House styles, he began to showcase his ability to freestyle in the most challenging forum know to the street dancer—“The Circle.”
During his dance training he also began to attend consecutive Martial art classes with Grandmaster Sihan Dai Rai Noh of the Ketsu-Rai Blackwinds Association. This duality helped him to fuse his soulfulness with a unique control of his movements of giving him an edge over the dancer who only knew how to improvise to beats.
Once out of school he began to work for entertainment companies and performed at the Palladium for R&B recording artist “Tony Terry.” He was featured in the films “Pulse—a STOMP Odyssey," ”The Doorman” and “Pressure.” At this time he joined Full Circle Prod Inc—NYC’s only Hip-hop dance theater company with whom he performed at Henry St Settlement, Performance Space 122, and Central Park Summerstage.
In 2007, he has shared his experiences with many young people in the Bronx, NY, (“The BoogieDownBronx,” his hometown) by joining forces with the Board of Education, and “LEAP,” who sponsors lectured “Hip-hop and House Dance History, and How to” Assemblies in Elementary schools. Hoping to inspire many along the way.
Sponsored by Alvin Ailey and other “House Music” labels and venues, he entered the House Dance International Conference’s “Experimental” Dance category (just added as a category), and is now the First ever International Experimental House Dance Champion 2007.
Known also as “ZEKE,” he has also developed his graffiti skills as a member of “First Class/Fame City” crew since 1985. “FC,” or Full Circle productions is the “Dance” extension of that crew.
As of September 2007, he has been accepted, and now is an active member of the Legendary family known throughout the “House World” and the world abroad as “The House of NINJA.” The House of NINJA was founded in the mid '80s by “THE” legendary father of the house, “Willie NINJA.”
